At Abundant Health & Wellness, Inc. you can count on health care for life. Our Nurse Practitioner's are RN's who have completed advanced education (a minimum of a Masters Degree in Nursing) and passed a national board certification (either ANCC or AANP) and are licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Tennessee. We want to see you for an initial visit and for life!
Here are just some of the services our NP's provide:
Diagnosing and treating acute illness, infections and injuries
Diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.)
Obtaining health care histories and conducting physical exams (e.g., DOT, employment & school physicals)
Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies (e.g., lab tests, EKG's, X-rays, etc.)
Prescribing medications
Prescribing physical therapy and other rehabilitation treatments
Providing family planning services (e.g., birth control, pelvic exams, etc.)
Providing women's health services (e.g., PAP exam, breast exams, bladder health, hormones, etc.)
Providing well-child care, including screening and immunizations
Providing health maintenance care for adults, including annual physicals
Providing the "Welcome to Medicare" physical exam - must be done within first 12 months of receiving Medicare Part B services
Lab monitoring for protime, cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid etc.
